About Ampleforth Governance
Analysis of 26 Jun 2026Ampleforth Governance (FORTH) is the governance token for the Ampleforth protocol and Forth DAO. Holders use FORTH to move ideas through discussion, formal AIP or ACCP proposals, targeted forum review, off-chain signaling, technical development, and binding on-chain votes.

The governance surface is real and public, but the token is now a distressed micro-cap rather than a broad-market DeFi leader. CoinGecko data on June 26, 2026 showed FORTH near $0.168, about $1.8M market cap, roughly $1.5M in 24-hour volume, and a drawdown of more than 99% from its 2021 all-time high.
The contract address is the Ethereum ERC-20 at 0x77fba179c79de5b7653f68b5039af940ada60ce0, matching both CoinGecko and the official Ampleforth governance contract repository. The investment case is tied less to FORTH standalone demand and more to whether Ampleforth can keep its broader elastic-money and SPOT ecosystem relevant.
GitHub activity shows the organization is not abandoned: the SPOT monorepo was pushed on June 19, 2026 and the core Ampleforth contracts repository was pushed on June 11, 2026. The official forum also documents a SPOT v5.0 upgrade proposal from June 2025 focused on efficiency, predictability, and scalability for the SPOT ecosystem.
That said, the FORTH governance contract repository itself is old, revenue capture to FORTH holders is unclear, and Binance delisted FORTH spot pairs on April 1, 2026. This makes FORTH a high-risk governance option on a known experimental monetary protocol, not a clean fundamentals compounder.
