The project rebranded to Solana Name Service in July 2024, and the protocol has registered over 450,000 .sol domains with 227,000+ unique holders and 150+ ecosystem integrations including MetaMask, Phantom, and Solana Mobile.

However, the May 2025 launch of a separate SNS governance token (10 billion supply, 40% airdropped) shifted protocol governance away from FIDA, raising questions about the legacy token's long-term utility. FIDA trades at $0.016, down 99.9% from its $18.77 all-time high set in November 2021.
