About Nervos Network

Analysis of 13 Jun 2026

Nervos Network (CKB) is a Proof-of-Work, UTXO-based blockchain that now markets itself primarily as Bitcoin-isomorphic infrastructure for programmability, data availability, and asset execution around RGB++ and Fiber Network.

Its technical pitch remains differentiated: CKB uses a RISC-V virtual machine, a cell model inspired by Bitcoin's UTXO design, and compatibility work aimed at letting Bitcoin-anchored assets use CKB for state and contract execution.

The 2025 Meepo hard fork is now live according to Nervos documentation, bringing CKB-VM v2 and new syscall support, while Messari reported Fiber Network's February 2025 launch as a Lightning-compatible payment-channel system for low-cost multi-token transfers. The negative side of the refresh is equally important.

Force Bridge was sunset and then exploited in late May to early June 2025, with security writeups attributing roughly $3.7 million to $3.9 million of losses to compromised validator or access-control infrastructure. Market depth remains weak: live CKB-USDT quotes on 2026-06-13 were near $0.001123, with modest exchange volume, so liquidity for large orders is thin.

The project still has real engineering substance, but commercial traction and fee capture remain unproven.
