Founded by Hansel Melo (CEO) with co-founders Gunner McLeod, Arthur Simonian, Adrian Walker, and Angel Rivas, the project launched its public MVP in October 2024 under the Neural Internet brand and is rebranding to Nodexo. The system uses a Proof-of-GPU engine where validators continuously benchmark miner hardware (supporting NVIDIA H200, H100, and A100 GPUs) to calculate performance scores posted to the Bittensor blockchain.
With 256 network neuron slots and infrastructure for containerized AI workloads, NI Compute targets the growing demand for decentralized AI inference and training compute at competitive prices.
