Quantum Resistant Ledger is a purpose-built privacy Layer 1 whose live proof-of-work network has used hash-based XMSS transaction signatures since its 2018 launch. XMSS is stateful, so each signature index must be used only once.

QRL 2.0 is the planned proof-of-stake successor, using ML-DSA for validators and an EVM-compatible development environment. Testnet V2 is public, but QRL says external audits, stress testing, and refinement continue; no mainnet date has been set.

The current chain also publishes node, miner, and wallet statistics, providing observable infrastructure activity while application adoption remains limited.
