Ribbon Finance is a DeFi protocol specializing in structured products centered around options strategies. Launched in February 2021 on Ethereum, Ribbon pioneered DeFi Options Vaults (DOVs) through its flagship Theta Vaults, which automate covered call and put-selling strategies to generate yield.

Founded by former Coinbase engineers Julian Koh and Ken Chan, the protocol reached an all-time high TVL of $300M in 2021. In July 2023, Ribbon Finance merged into Aevo, transitioning RBN tokens to AEVO on a 1:1 basis.

As of December 2025, the protocol has significantly declined with TVL around $11.6M, trading volume of $73.89 in 24 hours, and the RBN token priced at approximately $0.04.
