BounceBit (BB) is a CeDeFi yield and tokenized real-world asset protocol that originally launched as a Layer 1 chain. The platform enables Bitcoin and stablecoin holders to earn yield through institutional custody, funding-rate arbitrage, and tokenized treasury products.

Custodial assets are held through Ceffu with off-exchange settlement to support automated yield strategies. The project raised $6 million in seed funding from Blockchain Capital, Breyer Capital, and Binance Labs.

It also formed institutional partnerships with Franklin Templeton for tokenized treasury yields under BB Prime and with Google Cloud. In August 2026, an authorization exploit allowed an attacker to move 286.5 million tokens worth roughly $3 million.

Following that breach, BounceBit retired its standalone dual-token Proof of Stake blockchain and migrated the BB token 1:1 to BNB Chain.
