StarkGate Bridged USDC (USDC.e) is the canonical Ethereum-to-Starknet bridged representation of USDC, backed 1:1 by Circle USDC locked in Ethereum escrow contract 0xf6080d9fbeebcd44d89affbfd42f098cbff92816. Following the December 2025 launch of Circle native USDC and Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) v2 on Starknet, USDC.e became a legacy bridged asset with a gas-free 1:1 conversion portal on StarkGate.

As DeFi protocols migrated liquidity throughout 2026, tracked USDC.e market cap contracted from $145.55 million in February 2026 to $6.19 million ($610,566 in 24-hour volume at a $0.9997 price) as of the July 2, 2026 CoinGecko snapshot. While 1:1 redemption remains operational, holders remain exposed to bridge escrow upgrades and Starknet L2 liveness incidents, including the 4-hour mainnet outage on January 5, 2026.
