Governance approved a 1:1 token migration from legacy CQT to Covalent X Token (CXT) to unify staking. Roughly 986 million tokens circulate out of a 1 billion maximum supply, with 34% staked by network operators.

Block Specimen producers and the Ethereum Wayback Machine archive cryptographically verifiable historical state for rollup and AI applications. Off-chain API revenue funds open-market token buybacks that have removed 17 million tokens from active circulation.

As of the July 2, 2026 market backfill, legacy CQT recorded only $57.90 in daily volume following CXT migration.
