Kelp DAO Restaked ETH (rsETH) is an Ethereum liquid restaking token developed by the founders of Stader Labs that aggregates native ETH and liquid staking tokens (stETH, ETHx, sfrxETH, and rETH) into EigenLayer restaking vaults. The single non-rebasing token accrues both base Ethereum Proof of Stake yield and EigenLayer Autonomous Verifiable Service (AVS) rewards.

While rsETH scaled to become the second-largest liquid restaking protocol across Ethereum and more than 10 Layer 2 networks, the protocol suffered a major $292 million cross-chain exploit in April 2026 that stranded wrapped rsETH liquidity across 20 chains and prompted Aave risk warnings. Arbitrum froze $71 million in Ether tied to the attack, but the exploiter moved $175 million in ETH in October 2026.
