LINEA is not the gas asset and does not grant onchain governance rights; the Linea Consortium directs ecosystem programs. In May 2026, the production Linea Stack moved into Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust as Lineth, improving the stack’s vendor-neutral governance.

The token case still depends on durable usage, net fees after Ethereum costs, and disciplined distribution of the ecosystem allocation.
